How the Grinch stole Christmas!

Welcome back! Now the Christmas holidays are over I invite you to write your opinion about the short "How the Grinch stole Christmas".

Some of the questions you can use to help you do your writing activity are the following:

1) Who is the Grinch?
2) Does he like Christmas? If yes, why? If not, why not?
3) What happened to him as a little boy?
4) Do the people in his town like him? Why/Why not?
5) The sound of the Grinch were recorded by a man called Boris Karloff. Do you know who he is? If you do, explain. If you don't know, investigate and explain.
6) Did you like this short? Why/Why not?
7) When was the last time you watched an animated film (that is, "cartoons")? Did you use to like watching cartoons when you were a child? If so, which ones? Did you hava a favourite one?
8) Do you think cartoons are for children only? Or are there cartoons who both children and adults can enjoy at the same time? Can you provide some examples?

  2. 1.The Grinch is a cartoon Which is a fictional character created by Dr. Seuss. His first partition was in the 1957 children's book, "How the Grinch Stole Chritmas!" Then in 1966 reappeared in a television special with the same of the book, produced by MetroGoldwyn-Mayer's MGM Animation / Visual Arts Studio, and directed by Chuck Jones. In this story is a character who hates Christmas and try to block it.
2.odiaba Christmas because the kids when they went to look for gifts and played with them and made much noise bothered the carols is anticipated that this bothered him because he had a tiny heart.
3.When was little people laughed at the
4.a people of Who-ville did not like because he stole
    5. Son of Edward John Pratt Jr and his third wife, Eliza Sarah Millard, the future actor was born in Camberwell, London, and grew up in Enfield.Huérfano in his youth, he attended classes at Enfield Grammar School before moving to Uppingham School, the Merchant Taylors' School, and eventually form the University of London. Karloff's first goal was to join the diplomatic service, his brother Sir John Henry Pratt, became a famous and distinguished diplomat. In 1909, Pratt traveled to Canada, changing his name. For health reasons, did not fight in World War Mundial.Una After arriving in Hollywood, California, Karloff participated in numerous silent films before appearing as Frankenstein's monster in Frankenstein (1931), the film that made him a star and that rolled through that Bela Lugosi declined the role. A year later he played another iconic character, Imhotep, in The momia.Su height and success of Frankenstein (which appeared in the credits only as Karloff) was typecast in the horror genre (where he made numerous films for Universal Pictures ), but participated in other genres like The Lost Patrol by John Ford in 1934. Karloff played Frankenstein's monster twice, The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) and Son of Frankenstein (1939), with Lugosi as the mad Igor. Lugosi coincided precisely with two other major titles in The Black Cat (1934) and The Raven (1935). They are known the long makeup sessions with collodion and cotton which he had to undergo under the direction of the makeup artist Jack Pierce, and the uneasy suit and platform shoes that caused damage in the back which dragged the rest of his life despite the roles that made him famous, Karloff was known in his real life as a gentleman, generous, especially to children. In his later years he performed several times on television. Karloff never be typecast as a bad horror movie actor, in contrast, believed it was a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talents and was always grateful for ello.Boris Karloff died of pneumonia at King Edward VII Hospital, Midhurst, Sussex, at the age of 81 years,

  3. 1.The Grinch, a bitter, cave-dwelling, creature with a heart "two sizes too small," lives on snowy Mount Crumpit. His only companion is his dog, Max. The Grinch is the bad character of this History, he’s green, his eyes are yellow and red, so, I thing that he’s not a human.
2.No, he hate Christmas because he things that is a bad day and he hate all the things about Christmas: presents, lights, nativity , Christmas carols , wreaths, candles, Christmas trees, Santa Claus, gifs, reindeers, New Year’s Day, sleights, snow….
3.When he was a little boy everybody laughed of he because he was different and strange.
4.No, the people of Who-ville don’t like him because he stole and he isn’t friendly with them.
5.Boris Karloff is the narrator of the story, he was an actor of horror films. He’s best remembered was his paper of Frankenstein's monster in the 1931 film Frankenstein. His role as Frankenstein's monster in Frankenstein (1931) made him a star. A year later, he played another iconic character, Imhotep, in The Mummy.
6.This history learns to love Christmas and humanity but I thing that this history is beautiful but it’s better for children.
7.I saw The Simpsoms today at one o’clock, when I was child I loved cartoons I saw everyday Conan, Shin Shan, Dragon Ball and Inushasha. My favourite one was Conan.
8.No, I thing that there are many types of cartoons. It depends of the person. If you are an adult you normally prefer: American dad or The Simpson but if you are a child you normally prefer: Dragon ball, Conan, Shin Shan…

  4. 1)The Grinch is a monster with a very little heart, and he hates the noise and the holidays. He lives in the top of a mountain with his dog.

2)No, he doesn’t. Because the population of Who-Ville celebrate it, and there are a lot of noise. And he hates all the Christmas things, like a present or a Christmas tree.

3)The boys of Who-Ville laughed of him because he was different and he was uglier than the others.

4)No, they don’t. Because the Grinch hates all the population and whenever he can he bothered to the village, and people had it as a criminal.

5)He was a British actor famous because of his terror films, like Frankenstein.
He did its film because Béla Lugosi rejected the paper. Before Frankenstein, he did some silent films. After Frankenstein he did some TV programs. For this, he has two stars in the Hall Of Fame. He died when he was 81 years old.

6)Yes, I did. Because is a very beautiful story. My favourite moment was when augment x5 the Grinch heart. Is a very typical Christmas short. The worst of the film is which the end is very predictable, but it’s a great history, especially for the little children.

7)Two years ago I saw one film of Doraemon. I think it was very funny, but now I would not go to see it. When I was a child, I watched a lot of cartoons like as Shin-Chan, Doraemon, Lucky Luke, etc. Yes, Doraemon was my favourite.
I loved Doraemon!!! But now I hate it…

8)I think, for example The Simpsons, American dad or Family Guy are cartoons with intelligent humour for the children and for the adults. My father laughs when he sees American Dad, and I too.
